![]() Saturday February 23 Hope for Sal Fundraiser Concert Please come out and join us as we celebrate Sal Locascio and his journey to recovery. Featuring live music by the Bob Dylan Cover Band "Blood on the Tracks", food, raffles, and lots of fun! All Ages $15.00 Doors: 2:30 PM Show: 3:30 PM On December 12th, 2011, Sal LoCascio was injured in a tragic ski accident in Colorado; his prognosis is Quadriplegia. At the time of his accident, Sal was in the midst of his junior year as a business-finance major at Northern Colorado University in Greeley. Sal has worked very hard in his recovery so that he is able to function in every day tasks to the best of his ability. His dream is to be able to go back to school and finish his college education. Sal has met many goals, but, going back to UNC is his biggest challenge that he fights to pursue every day. He has done a significant amount of research regarding handicap accessible housing, home-health, transportation, and classes. The biggest obstacle Sal faces is the expense of a caregiver. This vital necessity is not an option for him, as he requires care most of the day and night. This young man never complains or feels sorry for himself, all he wants to do is continue the life he started. This fundraiser, "Hope for Sal", provides 'hope' in Sal's journey to achieve his goals. The on going support from friends, family, and our community have been unbelievable! Lastly, to everyone who has had Sal in their thoughts and prayers: you are the reason he smiles everyday.
