Venue

Where is Durty Nellie’s located?
Our fine establishment is located at 180 N. Smith Street, right in the heart of downtown Palatine. We are also conveniently located directly across the street from the Union Pacific Northwest Metra Line stop.

What are your hours?
We are open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. We close at 4:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Do you take reservations?
We take reservations for parties of six people or larger! Please call 847-358-9150.

Can you accommodate larger events?
Yes! Our venue can accommodate parties or events up to 1,000 people. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Do you have handicap accommodations?
Yes, our venue is handicap accessible. We have an elevator that can take guests up to the mezzanine, and we also have handicap seating available in the dining area.

Is the bar cash only?
No, we accept all major credit cards! NO checks are accepted.

Do you have an ATM?
Yes! It is located next to the bar for your convenience. Don’t forget to tip your bartender!

Are gift certificates available for purchase?
Yes, we do sell gift cards! They can be used toward food, drinks or events at our venue.

Band Room
Shows, Tickets, and Seating

Where can I buy tickets to a show?
Tickets can be purchased online, at the door, or by stopping in to the venue between the hours of noon and 6:00 p.m.

Are tickets refundable?
Unfortunately, no. All tickets are final sale.

Is the time on my ticket the opening act, or the headliner?
The time listed on your ticket refers to when the concert or event begins.

Are your shows age restricted?
Our shows are 21+. We do have some national acts that are all ages shows. Please visit our Live Entertainment page to see if the show you want to see has an age restriction.

The show I bought a ticket for was canceled. How do I get a refund?
Tickets for canceled shows can be refunded through point of purchase.

When can I enter the Band Room on event night?
Doors generally open one hour before a show.

How do I get advance notice about your shows?
Sign up for our email list! We send out first-come, first-served offers for early access and discounts to our shows, as well as food and drink specials.

How big is your music venue?
Our music venue has a capacity of 750. This includes the upstairs mezzanine, which seats 350 and the Band Room, which can hold 400. While the mezzanine does contain ample seating, some seating areas do not provide a view of the stage. There are nine tables that seat four people, which provide a view of the stage and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where can I park?
There is a 30-spot lot located directly in front of our building. Right behind our venue is a 1,200-spot parking garage that is FREE Monday through Friday after 5:00 p.m. and FREE all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

What is not allowed in your concert venue?
Durty Nellie’s does not allow the following:

  • Outside food or drink
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Drugs, drugs paraphernalia or illegal substances of any kind
  • Large purses or backpacks

We know you are a live entertainment venue, but do you also serve food?
Yes! For before show bites and brews visit our dining area. Check out our menu here!

We are in town to see a national act. Do you recommend a place where I can lay my head?
Check out the Holiday Inn Express located at 1550 East Dundee Road in Palatine, approximately three miles from our venue. Mention Durty Nellie’s for a discounted rate! The hotel also offers shuttle service.
